| So dear reader, I am moving back to America, Brooklyn to be precise. I am currently here for a short visit before returning to the UK to pack up my apt and have my birthday picnic (probably not in that order). I managed to get here a few days before the craziness, thank goodness. Could you see me flying without my chapstick. NO!
Anyway, I've been interviewing for jobs which marks an end to the perpetual studentdom. Very exciting.
alas i have much else to say, but my tendonitus has been acting up, so i will have to wait until i can type at more pleasant angle.
toodles, dear reader | | |
| so, christoph and i are unemployed which leaves us with far too much time and not enough money. usually we just spend the day in front of our computers drooling as we hit "reload" on our email accounts. but today christoph decided that he was sick of all of my dirty laundry that has drifted like a sand dune over to his side of the room. so i had to take care of it. i did several hours of throwing away and sorting which shoes could be sold to retro exchange for more than a salad at "blah blah blah" costs. when i was half way through with this nightmarish task, i got bored.
we decided to go outside and go to "blackberry paradise." this is not where you can buy those handheld email devises but this huge rather untouched blackberry patch, the kind that makes you think about brair rabbit. this blackberry patch is bordered on one side by the canal (which has honest to god human river rats- dreadlocks and all!) and the railway (not dinky tracks, but like the major artery of rail action in north london). if i were a fugative, i would hide out there. so we picked lots of blackberries and i got stung by nettles. i didnt really believe that they hurt a person, but my finger is still a bit uncomfortable. the blackberry cobbler i had for dessert is helping it heal.
toodles dear reader!
